But all this training is leading to an increase in overuse injuries in juveniles. Half of all sports medicine injuries in children and teens are from overuse.   1. Tibetan Monks Sacred Art Tour

    January 23, 2017 - January 29, 2017, All Day @ Lighthouse ArtCenter

    Sacred Art Tour 2017 For the third year, we welcome eight exiled Tibetan Buddhist Monks to the ArtCenter from the Drepung Gomang Monastery in India. Don’t miss this experience as they create a sand mandala, share Tibetan culture and traditions, and offer us universal lessons on compassion and impermanence. This year, they will be surrounded by photos of their homeland, Tibet, taken by Jackson Berger, during his journey there last May. The Sacred Art Tour supports the 2,000 monks in Mundgod, India, with funds for their education, healthcare and nutrition. This year, the monks will be creating a Green Tara Mandala, symbolizing feminine compassion and active enlightenment. Daily chanting will be at 9:30 am and 3:30 pm. The monks will be creating the mandala from Tuesday through Saturday, 10 am to 4 pm. Members, FREE; nonmembers, $10.

    Time varies by sunset Take in the spectacular sunset views and witness the Jupiter Light turning on to illuminate the night sky.
