  1. Educator Training Workshops-Project Wild

    October 28, 2017, 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM @ Loxahatchee River Center

    Calling all educators! The River Center is hosting a Project Wild/Aquatic combination workshop on Saturday, October 28th from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm. This is a free event and all materials are provided. Please register below to attend. For more questions or information please contact Megan Harris at 561-743-7123 or Education@lrecd.org. This educator training is open to anyone interested in gaining more opportunities to learn about teaching outdoor wildlife activities like formal teachers, non-formal nature center educators, youth group leaders, volunteers, scout troop leaders, or citizens that work with young people. The goal of Project WILD is to assist students of any age in developing awareness, knowledge, skills, and commitment to result in informed decisions, responsible behavior and constructive actions concerning wildlife and the environment. Don’t miss out on this exciting and informative workshop!

    October 28, 2017, 2:00 PM - 2:30 PM @ Loxahatchee River Center

    Join us every Saturday at 2:00 PM for a FREE public tour of the aquariums. The River Center's staff provides information on each of the exhibits, and guests have the opportunity to see the fish in action during feeding time!
