Coronavirus Announcements, Tuesday, March 17

The following are the latest updates regarding the Town of Jupiter’s status and response due to the COVID-19, or Coronavirus.

On Friday the Town announced that all events, classes, programs and meetings are cancelled until April 19, 2020.  This includes all activities at the Jupiter Community Center.  Summer camp registrations will still be accepted at the Community Center front desk during this time period.

The Community Center is open as a voting location for the Presidential Preference Primary and local election today, March 17, 2020. Some voting precincts may have changed, so residents should check their polling locations at the Supervisor of Elections website,, or call them at 561-656-6200.

In doing business with the Town or at Town facilities, residents and customers are encouraged to limit non-essential contact by:

  • Using Online Services:  Pay utility bills, request permits, renew or request business licenses, file development applications and search public records by visiting  
  • Communicating Electronically:  Contact Town officials and Town staff via email, telephone, and online. A searchable staff directory is available at  Use the “Let Us Know” button on the Town’s homepage to ask questions or provide input.
  • Deferring Non-essential Services:  The Town may suspend some services, like home visits by our Utilities Customer Service and Laboratory staff, to limit personal interaction during this time.  Please use any of the contact methods listed above to inquire about non-essential services that may be suspended.

Town parks remain open, but due to low inventory and lack of availability of sanitary supplies, restroom facilities will no longer be available at the following parks beginning at 8:00 am on Wednesday, March 18, 2020 until further notice.  Please plan accordingly when visiting these Town parks:

  • Cinquez Park
  • Jupiter Village Park
  • Lighthouse Park
  • Maplewood Park
  • Sawfish Bay Park

Limited restrooms will be available at the following park locations until further notice:

  • Abacoa Community Park- next to Skate Park
  • Jupiter Community Park- first floor of softball quad building
