Homeschool Art & Nature

Classes will include environmental awareness experience with Brenda Nickolaus known as Mother Nature, while painting and crafting with green recycled items. Each craft is designed to encourage artistic play and to pay attention to the beauty of the small details in nature. We will cover a variety of topics; each class we will explore a different theme through hands-on activities, stories, crafts, encounters with resident animals as appropriate to the topic, and outdoor discovery. Activities: Bird ID, Clay Play, Insects in the Gardens, Trees and Forests, Water-Water Everywhere. ***There is a $20 supply fee due to the instructor the first day of class.

Zumba

Zumba combines high energy and motivating music with unique moves and combinations that allow the Zumba participants to dance away their worries. It is fun and easy to do. Zumba is not only good for the body but also great for the mind.

Library Class: Living Soil & Worm Tea Workshop

Mel Corichi from Let It Rot will be talking all things living soils, including soil microbes, soil ecology, compost, living soil vs. fertilizer, and bagged soil. This workshop will be presented in-person and virtually. To register for the in-person event, please call the Jupiter Branch Library at 561-744-2301. CPR/AED Certification Training

This is a 2.5 hour CPR/AED American Heart Association certification course that teaches the techniques of adult, child infant CPR. This course also instructs how to respond to a choking adult, child or infant. Participants will also learn how to recognize the signs & symptoms of a heart attack & stroke. Additional elements can be added to this course to satisfy healthcare worker requirements. These stress-free trainings are provided using state of the art equipment in a hands-on environment.

Painting for Fun

Explore and Develop your artistic ability. A fun class to learn how to paint your masterpiece. Bring your own art supplies for what you want to work on.

Cops & Teens Talk

Cops & Teens Talk is every second Tuesday of the month from 3:15 - 4:15 pm at the Jupiter Police Department Community Room (196 Military Trail). This program is designed to reach out to teenagers within the Town of Jupiter so they can get to know their local police officers. The program opens up discussions about things that impact a teenager’s life like personal safety, drug and alcohol addiction and mental health.

Star of Jupiter Quilters and Crafters Group Sew-In

Bring friends and family! Sew In is on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of each month at Jupiter Light Lodge building at 600 S Loxahatchee Drive in Jupiter from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm; come when, and for as long as you like. Light Breakfast, Coffee, and Tea is provided. Lunch is either brown bag or we order pizza. Open to all sewers, quilters, crafters and learners. BRING: Your project(s) and what you need to work on them. Bring any Show and Tells you’d like to share. Especially bring charity project info like nursing home needs, pillowcases, quilts, etc. Let’s get to work sewing, crafting and quilting projects for our community! Please bring any beverages in a lidded container.
