Now in his second term as a member of Town Council, Cameron May was originally elected in 2020 before being re-elected in 2023. He was selected by the Town Council to serve as Vice Mayor in 2021 and was a member of Jupiter’s Planning and Zoning Commission prior to his election to Town Council.
Councilor May also serves the greater community as a Firefighter/Paramedic with the Palm Beach County Fire Rescue. When he is not on duty, Councilor May also serves as a certified instructor at the Palm Beach County Fire Academy. Cameron’s immense commitment to Jupiter’s community started very young with youth service at his church, where he is still a member. He protected thousands of young children as a lifeguard each summer, during his years at Jupiter High. Upon high school graduation, Cam became a Palm Beach County lifeguard, embarking on a career path to emulate his father, Don May, the former Chief of the Palm Beach County Ocean Rescue. Passionate about fire rescue, Cam graduated from the Fire Academy at Florida State Fire College and further sharpened his skills at Paramedic School at Palm Beach State College to pursue his dream job.
While studying at Palm Beach State College, Cam met Magen Brabham, another Jupiter native. They are now married with two sons. Magen is a Senior Engineer at NextEra Energy.
Cam’s message is, “All my roots are in Jupiter, so are Magen’s. If you know Jupiter, as I do, everyone here is my family.”
