9 mile multi-use trail

Facilities available include parking areas at Riverbend and Sandhill Crane Access Parks, 10-foot wide shell rock bicycle and pedestrian path, grassy swale adjacent to the trail for equestrian use, chickee shade shelter, fishing pier, wetland overlook in Loxahatchee Slough Natural Area, horse hitches and a pitcher pump well, bicycle racks, and informational kiosks.

Phase II project amenities include: 

  • 12’ asphalt bicycle/pedestrian path.
  • Pedestrian bridge over the C-18 canal.
  • Small shade shelter with bench.
  • 2 information kiosks.
  • Safety and way-finding signage.
