Green Initiative
Mission
The Town of Jupiter is committed to ensuring our community is environmentally sustainable and energy efficient. The Town encourages developers and local businesses to incorporate green construction techniques, maintenance, and operation practices to ensure Jupiter remains an environmentally and economically sustainable community that can be enjoyed by all.In March 2011, the Town became a registered Green Local Government by the Florida Green Building Coalition. On September 17th, 2014, the Town became a Silver Certified Green Local Government through the Florida Green Building Coalition!
The Town of Jupiter is proud to feature two level-two electric charging stations for electric vehicles located at Town Hall. The charging stations are available to the public from 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM, Monday through Friday. There is no cost associated with utilizing the electric charging stations. The United States Department of Energy website provides a helpful map for people with electric vehicles to locate charging stations that are nearby. |

Palm Tran is Palm Beach County's premier public bus system. It travels to every major destination in Palm Beach County from Jupiter to Boca Raton. Route 10 serves the Jupiter area, with many stops in Abacoa, along Military Trail, and along Indiantown Road. |

The Southeast Florida Regional Climate Compact unites Palm Beach, Broward, Miami-Dade, and Monroe counties for the common goal of mitigating and adapting to climate change. The Compact continues to serve as a mechanism for collaboration across municipal boundaries for climate adaptation. |
