2026 Summer Sport Camp Descriptions
Baseball
Joe Giummule, Jupiter High School Head Coach, his staff, and current players will focus on individual skills development, hitting, bunting, pitching, throwing, fielding, baserunning, and knowledge of the game on all skill levels. For our older, more advanced players, Coach Giummule and his staff will emphasize advanced training with dynamic warm-ups, arm care, speed enhancement, agility, strength, and specific training techniques to improve your game to excel at the next level. Coach Giummule brings over 20 years of high school head coaching experience, over 300 wins at the high school level as a head coach, and has coached 5 big leaguers over his high school career.
Basketball
Basketball camp, instructed by Jupiter High School Coach J.D. DePasquale and his staff, will focus on age-appropriate fundamentals, including ball handling and passing, shooting, offense, and defense, in a safe, fun, and engaging environment. Combining these fundamentals of the game will provide campers the opportunity to become more competitive players at any level.
Cheerleading
Cheerleading camp, instructed by Kim Beine, will focus on age-specific skill development, team/friendship building, safety, and sportsmanship. Prior cheerleading experience is not necessary. Participants will be placed in groups they feel comfortable with. A variety of activities will be used to ensure proper technique, and FUN is being emphasized. Our goal is for each child to complete our camp with a love for the sport and enjoy the best that cheerleading has to offer.
Dance Team
Dance Camp will include learning 3 styles of choreography: jazz, pom routine, and hip hop. The camp, taught by Kelly Betz and her Jupiter High School Dance Team, will include similar aspects to being a part of a school dance team. This will include sideline routines for basketball games and football games, using the team's game time poms in their routines, team bonding activities, the importance of team spirit, and the power of working together. Dancers are encouraged to wear comfortable clothes to move and dance, such as shorts or leggings and tennis shoes. All skill levels are welcome.
Football
Football Camp offers a structured environment to enhance players' fundamental skills, build character, and foster teamwork. This camp involves position-specific drills, group training, 7 on 7 scrimmages, and game-like scenarios. Led by members of the Jupiter High School coaching staff, all campers will receive a Jupiter Warrior tee shirt & prizes will be awarded.
Soccer
Soccer camp focuses on skills from introduction to mastery in a fun learning environment. This is achieved through proper techniques, including warm-ups, dribbling, passing, receiving, and shooting drills, with the hope of players investing in their own development for as long as they play the game. These techniques will be put to use during daily scrimmages.
Softball
The JHS Softball Coach, Steve Ahern, is proud to instruct the Town of Jupiter Summer Softball Camp. The fundamentals of hitting, fielding, base running, and being a good teammate will be taught. The high school players will be on the field with the campers, going through all the drills and skills with the campers, encouraging them every step of the way. Sliding is taught on Friday as it is a good way to end a fun-filled week of softball on a giant slip and slide!
Volleyball
Volleyball camp is for boys and girls of all abilities, beginner, recreational player, or club player. This camp is a great place to improve your volleyball skills, make new friends, and have a great, fun time.
