[ARCHIVED] Public Notice - Town Council Special Meeting scheduled for 7/20/23 and 7/25/23 at 6:00 P.M.

Please take notice that a Town Council Special Meeting is scheduled for Thursday, July 20, 2023. If needed, a second hearing will be held on Tuesday, July 25. Both meetings will begin at 6:00 pm in the Town of Jupiter Council Chambers located at 210 Military Trail.

The special meetings are to consider an appeal of the decision of the Historic Resource Board (HRB) pertaining to an application for a Certificate to Dig.  This is not a public hearing with public comment. The reason there will be no public comment is that all the public comment was taken at the HRB proceedings.  On appeal, the presentations by the applicant and staff are limited to the reports, records, and testimony (the Record) from those who addressed the HRB, including the public also during the HRB proceedings. The Council may only consider the Record before making its decision on the appeal.  In order to preserve due process, there cannot be any new arguments or testimony from the parties or the public regarding the application given at this appeal proceeding.
