1. Where can I find a shelter in the Jupiter area?

The Jupiter area has two designated American Red Cross emergency shelters:

2. What supplies will I need for a hurricane?

3. How will I know what's happening after a storm if there is no power?

In the event there is no power post-storm, news bulletins will be posted daily in information tubes at sites thoughout the Jupiter area. A list of these sites can be found here. Post-Storm Information Updates

4. How do I prepare for my pets? Can I take them to a shelter?

Disaster shelters cannot accept pets because of health and safety regulations. Service animals for people with disabilities are an exception. A pet-friendly shelter is now available to county residents living in an evacuation zone or in a mobile home.
