Pedestrian/Bicycle Safety Projects
New Lighted Crosswalks Enhance Pedestrian Safety Around Town
To improve pedestrian safety, the Town has installed eleven new crosswalks with flashing lights within Jupiter, with more scheduled to be completed in the future.
The new crosswalks are located at:
- Toney Penna Drive near Jupiter Village Community Pool
- Maplewood Drive at Pinetree Trail
- Dakota Drive by Lighthouse Elementary
- South Loxahatchee Drive by Jupiter Elementary
- South Loxahatchee Drive at 6th Street
- South Loxahatchee Drive by 8th Street
- South Old Dixie Highway near Jupiter Medical Center
- Palmfield Way between Coco Lane and Via Rosina
- Greenway Drive between University Boulevard and Grand Cull Way
- Main Street between University Boulevard and Avenue A
- University Boulevard between Arpeicka Lane and Innovation Way
- Longshore Drive at Central Boulevard
Proposed future crosswalks located at:
- Jupiter Lakes Boulevard in front of the Jupiter Medical Center
- Parkside Drive at University Boulevard
- Heights Boulevard between Ungerer Street and Drake Street
- University Boulevard at the intersection with Crescent Drive
