Jupiter Utilities Projects Around Town

1. Utility System Repairs and Improvements
Status: Construction In Progress
Completion Date: Aug 2026
Project Description: The Water and Stormwater Utility's contract with Johnson-Davis facilitates proactive repairs to the water and stormwater systems.
Status Update: Construction is underway to install additional drainage at wellsites in the Heights, Egret Landing and Abacoa. Residents may observe construction in these areas with periodic lane closures necessary to complete the work.
2. Stormwater Pipe Cleaning and Rehabilitation
Status: Construction In Progress
Completion Date: Nov 2025
Project Description: This Stormwater Utility's contract with Nu-Pipe aids early detection of drainage issues through video inspection and offers cleaning and rehabilitation services.
Status Update: Stormwater pipe inspections and repairs are planned or underway across Town. There are upcoming projects to clean and inspect drainage systems on Ungerer St in the Heights, Anchor Dr in Jupiter Landings and Harbourside Cir in the Bluffs. Residents may observe construction in the area.
3. Surficial Aquifer Well Rehabilitation
Status: Construction In Progress
Completion Date: Mar 2026
Project Description: Centerline Drilling, provides proactive rehabilitation and maintenance of surficial aquifer wells to restore well capacity and improve water quality. These wells supply water to the nanofiltration membrane water treatment plant.
Status Update: Well rehabilitation and maintenance projects are planned and/or underway around Town including testing of a well in Windsor Park and well investigation project in the Heights on Barabara Street to prepare for future well replacement.
4. Deep Injection Well
Status: Construction In Progress
Completion Date: May 2026
Project Description: Construction of an injection well (3,300' deep) and associated montoring well for disposal of water treatment plant by-product waters, by Youngquist Brothers, Inc. The DIW will eliminate discharges of RO concentrate to the environmentally sensitive Loxahatchee River, thereby significantly reducing nitrogen loadings to the River.
Status Update: Youngquist Brothers started construction of the Injection well with 24/7 work in July 2024. The Contractor completed drilling of the Injection and Dual-Zone Monitoring Wells in October 2025 marking the end of 24/7 work. The Contractor is currently working on removing well drilling equipment from the site and transitioning to final testing. Residents in close proximity to the water treatment plant may experience construction noise.
5. Water System Repairs and Improvements
Status: Construction In Progress
Completion Date: Sep 2027
Project Description: DeeVan, Inc provides proactive water distribution system repairs and improvements in various locations throughout the Town's water service area.
Status Update: Water system repair and improvement projects are planned and/or underway around Town including at Indian Creek Park and the Public Works storage building. Residents may observe construction in the area.
6. Floridian Aquifer Well Rehabilitation
Status: Construction In Progress
Completion Date: Dec 2026
Project Description: All Webb's Enterprises, Inc. provides proactive well rehabilitation services to the Town's twelve existing Floridan Aquifer Wells, as needed to address well capacity and water quality decline, and ensure system reliability.
Status Update: Floridan well rehabilitation and maintenance projects are planned and/or underway around Town including testing of a well inside the Water Treatment Plant Site
7. Water and Drainage Improvements on Dolphin Drive
Status: Construction In Progress
Completion Date: Jan 2026
Project Description: Construction of drainage improvements to address localized nuisance flooding at the south end of Dolphin Drive and proactive replacement of the aged water distribution system on Dolphin Drive, Dolphin Park, and Dolphin Circle.
Status Update: CK Contractors has completed installing water main on Dolphin Drive, which has been tested and approved for use, and is transitioning residents to the new water main. The Contractor continues to work on drainage improvements and restoration of areas impacted by construction requiring periodic lane closures. Utilities staff are communicating, in advance, with residents impacted by this work. Residents are encouraged to speak with the Utility inspector onsite overseeing construction.
8. Odor Control Improvements at the Water Plant
Status: Construction In Progress
Completion Date: Nov 2025
Project Description: Florida Design Drilling is replacing blowers and constructing related improvements to the MBA odor control system at the Water Treatment Plant, which neutralizes the odorous hydrogen sulfide compound after it has been removed from treated drinking water. Replacement of the 35-year old blowers is necessary to restore odor control treatment efficiency.
Status Update: Florida Drilling has successfully completed the ductwork and blower improvements for both MBA towers. The Contractor is completing final restoration and project closeout. Construction is within the water plant site and not expected to impact public areas.
9. New Surficial Aquifer Wellsites
Status: Construction In Progress
Completion Date: Nov 2025
Project Description: Florida Design Drilling is constructing two new surficial aquifer wells (150 feet deep) that will supply raw water to the nanofiltration water treatment plant. These wells are apart of phased project to construct the Limestone Creek wellfield expansion and will augment the existing raw water supply to ensure the Town's utility continues to provide reliable and high quality drinking water
Status Update: Florida Drilling has finished construction of the wells and is completing final restoration at both sites. Residents may observe construction in the area.
10. Water and Drainage Improvements in Pennock Industrial Park and Bush Road
Status: Construction In Progress
Completion Date: Jan 2026
Project Description: Construction of drainage improvements to address localized nuisance flooding in Pennock Industrial Park and the north end of Bush Rd along with proactive replacement of aging fire hydrants in Pennock Industrial Park.
Status Update: Johnson Davis has completed installation of all drainage and water main improvements along with restoration in Pennock Industrial Park. The Contractor has mobilized to Bush Road to complete drainage improvements. Road closures between Walmart and Tire Kingdom are necessary to complete the work. Residents should follow detour signage to safely navigate the construction area. Businesses are encouraged to speak with the Utility inspector onsite overseeing construction.
11. Refurbishments to Floridian Aquifer Wells
Status: Construction In Progress
Completion Date: Sep 2026
Project Description: Rehabilitation and reconstruction of six, Floridan aquifer wells including improvements to the wellheads, well piping, pumps, electrical power, pumps, instrumentation and controls to continue to reliably supply raw water to the reverse osmosis water treatment plant.
Status Update: All Webbs Enterprises has mobilized to the first wellsite, RO-3, within the Water Utility Pumping Station to begin repairs and reconstruction. The Contractor is working to order materials and equipment to complete improvements at the remaining five well sites. Residents may observe construction in the area, which is within Utilities’ property and not expected to impact public areas.
12. Water and Drainage Improvements in Fishermans Landing
Status: Construction In Progress
Completion Date: Jan 2026
Project Description: Replacement of aging water distribution piping systems with new watermains, valves and hydrants and reconstruction of drainage systems to address nuisance flooding.
Status Update: Johnson Davis has started construction including drainage repairs on Riverwood Lane and new water main installations in the community. Residents' driveways have been removed to allow for construction and will be replaced by the Contractor. Connection to the new water mains will require temporary interruption of water service. Utilities staff are communicating, in advance, with residents impacted by this work. Residents are encouraged to speak with the Utility inspector onsite overseeing construction.
13. Dover Ditch Living Shoreline
Status: Contract Awarded
Completion Date: Feb 2026
Project Description: A joint project with Village of Tequesta to convert the existing western portion of Dover Ditch into a meandering stream with stabilized banks and native plants to create living shorelines, reduce erosion and improve quality of stormwater discharge to the Loxahatchee River.
Status Update: BlueTerra is at the construction phase at Dover Ditch by W Riverside Dr. Residents may observe construction in the area.
14. Raw Water Pipeline Replacement
Status: Under Review
Completion Date: TBD
Project Description: Replacement of an existing raw water transmission main that was damaged by another contractor. The replacement main will be installed with horizontal directional drilling construction. The raw water transmission main conveys brackish groundwater from Floridan Aquifer wells located on Island Way to the reverse osmosis water plant for treatment.
Status Update: A Construction Contract to Felix Civil Construction was approved by Town Council in August 2025. Town staff is working to obtain the final permit from US Army Corp of Engineers. The Contractor is preparing crews and materials to mobilize for construction in the next few months. Residents may observe construction in the area.
15. Biennial Mangrove Trimming Maintenance in Jupiter River Estates
Status: Construction In Progress
Completion Date: Mar 2026
Project Description: The Town aims to address poor water quality in Jones Creek through a project with Sherlock Tree Company to trim exotic vegetation and mangroves in the canal networks of Jupiter River Estates, Maple Isle and The Colony at Maplewood. The initial trimming was completed in 2024 and contract includes provisions for biennial (i.e., once every 2 years) maintenance trimming thereafter. The first maintenance trimming is schedule to start in December 2025.
Status Update: Sherlock Tree Company is preparing crews and equipment to mobilize to perform the first biennial mangrove trimming starting in December 2025. Residents with property backing to Jones Creek will receive a mailer from the Town with notification of the upcoming work. Residents may observe construction crews in the area.
16. Smart Metering System Upgrade
Status: Under Review
Completion Date: TBD
Project Description: A multi-year project to upgrade and replace all water meters with a "smart metering system" referred to as Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI). Once implemented, daily real-time water usage trends will be available to Town staff and customers. AMI will enhance the customer experience by providing access to water usage data through an online portal or phone app, and be able to understand and control their water use patterns more closely, conserve water, and receive high use alerts to aid with early detection of leaks.
Status Update: The Town publicly solicited competitive pricing for the project and three proposals were received in July 2025. Proposal submissions are under review and Contract negotiations are underway. The contract will be presented to Town Council for approval in December 2025.
17. Improvements at the Water Plant for the Deep Injection Well
Status: Under Review
Completion Date: May 2027
Project Description: This project consists of all the water plant site improvements necessary to place the recently drilled deep injection well and dual zone monitoring well into service, including wellhead piping, site piping, pump stations, electrical and instrumentation systems, and start-up testing.
Status Update: The Town publicly solicited competitive pricing for the project and two proposals were received in September 2025. Proposal submissions are under review. The construction contract will be presented to Town Council for approval in December 2025.
18. Replacement of Acid Storage Tanks
Status: Out to Bid
Completion Date: TBD
Project Description: Proactive replacement of existing and aged sulfuric acid chemical storage tanks at the water plant. The project also includes addition of a "dry-air" system for each tank to prolong its life and minimize corrosion. Sulfuric acid is an NSF approved chemical for use in water treatment to lower the pH of the water.
Status Update: The Town has published construction documents online to solicit competitive pricing for the project and bids are due in December 2025. The construction contract will be presented to Town Council for approval in January 2026.
19. Roof Repair and Replacements at the Water Plant Site
Status: In Design
Completion Date: TBD
Project Description: Repairs to and replacement of existing and aged roofing systems on the nanofiltration pre-treatment and process buildings at the water treatment plant.
Status Update: The Town is preparing to publish construction documents online to solicit competitive pricing for the project in December 2025. The construction contract will be presented to Town Council for approval in January 2026.
20. New Jupiter Community Park Restrooms and Utility Building
Status: In Design
Completion Date: TBD
Project Description: Construction of a one-story building at the south end of Jupiter Community Park that will include public restrooms and house electrical and generator equipment to power new surficial and Floridan aquifer wells under construction along Island Way.
Status Update: The Town recently presented the new building project to Town Council and received Site Plan Approval. Utilities and Park staff continue to progress with building design and plan to publicly solicit competitive bids by the end of 2025.
